Salty Douglas fir mantels

In 1905 a railroad train trestle was built over the Great Salt Lake in Utah. It served well until about 1950 when the trains just got too big and an earth causeway was constructed. With no need for the Douglas Fir trestle, it was deconstructed around 1980. These "salty" fir timbers make colorful mantels.
